I was rejected by my family for being gay, I came out to them when I was twenty-six, and my brothers and sister, mother, and father said I was no longer family! I attempted suicide at the age of thirty, I was put in touch with Phelan, and not only was he a Witch, but he was gay.

He told me to hold on and that my family would soon come to accept me. As time went on, I was contacted by all of my family, and they welcomed me back into the family; this time, it was me who rejected them. I found a new family through Phelan, he put me in contact with many support groups; I started doing outreach to those in my situation and through the process learned that I was enough and that I did not need validation from anyone else, if it weren't for Phelan my life would have ended long before it started.
